Hong Kong canto pop singer Sam Hui smiling during his
first comeback concert in Hong Kong, in June this year. |
Last month, he set another record in
Hong Kong when tickets to his series of 10 comeback
concerts were snapped up within nine hours after they
went on sale.
So hot were the first-leg tickets that they were reportedly
sold on the black market for up to four times the original
price.
Sam, dubbed the God of Songs by Hong Kong media, may
set another record in Malaysia with a largest ever crowd
turning up to watch his show at the Bukit Jalil National
Stadium on Feb 19 next year.

Organiser Galaxy Productions is looking to break the 50,000-audience
record set by Jacky Cheung in 2002 with an anticipated crowd
of 60,000.
Sam is best remembered for his rendition of Cantonese songs
that poked fun at everyday life in the 1980s. He endeared
himself to many as he chose to compose songs that gave people
the opportunity to laugh at themselves.
The singer released his first single, Time of the Season,
in 1970 and followed up with numerous albums, ultimately earning
him the title God of Song.
Malaysians will be able to relive the magical moments with
Sam taking them through his love ballads and satirical songs
at the Sam Hui Live in Malaysia 2005 concert.
The tickets, priced at RM50, RM110, RM150, RM160, RM200,
RM250, RM290 and RM380, are now on sale. Call Axcess Ticketing
